ENDA: Enterprise Network of Disabled Artists

Business skills network for Deaf and Disabled Arts practitioners and arts administrators, Disability Arts practitioners and Deaf Arts practitioners.

NWDAF is aiming to develop a support network of Disabled and Deaf artists who are either emerging , developing or succeeding as small arts businesses.

How will we try to do this?

* By providing Disabled/Deaf artists with relevant and appropriate skills to enhance their access to employment, freelance and enterprise opportunities

* By helping to equip Disabled/Deaf artists with the skills and confidence to initiate, fundraise, develop and administer arts projects either as a freelancer, in partnership, self employed or working within an arts organisation.

* By helping to develop Networking opportunities with other Disabled/Deaf artists and organisations.

* By responding to concerns and issues from Disabled/Deaf artists in order to secure more support from local, regional and national agencies.

* By providing learning experiences, one-to-one and within groups, on arts business.

Learning will be delivered by experienced Disabled/Deaf and non-disabled trainers--with a history of training within the arts and creative industries sector.

The learning will be accessible, according to participants stated needs.

All trainers will have completed Disability Equality Action Training.

NWDAF will aim to deliver a number of 1 day learning courses over several years--in areas such as finance, fund raising, project management, marketing and networking to a total of 30 disabled artists.

NWDAF would also aim to support ENDA by producing a regular newsletter--advertising continuing professional development opportunities for disabled artists, and linking into relevant opportunities to support our sector--such as: trade fairs and exchanges.

Development of ENDA is in it's early stages but if you are a Disabled/Deaf artist and would like to be part of ENDA please get in touch with us. We'd love you be part of this exciting project the first of it's kind in the NORTH WEST.
