DaDaFest 2006 Programme
Updated: 17 Nov 06
About DaDaFest
Welcome to DaDaFest 2006. Now in its sixth year, DaDaFest is the largest celebration of Disability and Deaf art in the North West bringing together internationally acclaimed top class professional artists, local home grown talent, and up and coming young disabled people. DaDaFest has become so successful and well known it won the Mersey Tourism Award for Best Small Event 2005.
This year's exciting program reflects Liverpool's theme for 2006 - 'Liverpool Performs'. As in previous years we will be showcasing ground-breaking Deaf and Disabled Arts; attracting national media attention and international performers. For the first time we will be using venues in the Manchester area partnering with Manchester Arts organisations as well as Liverpool ones, and see this as key in raising the profile of Disability Arts regionally, nationally and internationally.
"I am really excited with this year's program, there's plenty of fantastic new acts and the festival has really grown. I hope you enjoy the varied and diverse line up" Gemma Nash, Festival Organiser
All DaDaFest events are accessible, including sign language interpretation and audio description.

Fittings Multimedia present a new show, a satirical side swipe at the fag end of the health service; a medical musical showdown between the forces of evil and good. Described as ''Green Wing' with songs' this is a must-see performance if you've ever been patronised by a doctor, lost in a queue or ignored in a ward and had to make do! These are scratch performances of a work in progress.
