DaDaLaunch - Rags to Riches
This years DaDaFest launched in St Georges Hall Heritage Centre at noon on 16 November 2007. There were speeches from Ruth Gould to welcome everybody to the festival and to give some background information, Graham Boxer to welcome everyone to the Heritage Centre, Colin Hilton - CEO LIverpool City Council, Claire McColgan - Participation Director of Liverpool Culture Company, Julia Keenan - Diversity Officer/Disability Arts Council England NW, Amanda Sutton - Venture Arts and Wayne Tarry and Norma Kinniston to talk about the exhibition Rags to Riches.
Guests were then invited to some snacks and drinks and to then view the Rags to Riches exhibition. There was an opportunity for all present to chat in a very welcoming, festive and artistic environment.
Overall, this event was a successful start to what we believe will be a successful festival.
